Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a passionate educator, I strive to create a learning space where every student can thrive—whether they need a little extra movement, focus, or support to stay organized. This project provides essential tools to help my students succeed both academically and emotionally.

I’m requesting wired mice for Chromebooks because many of the trackpads no longer work, and using a real mouse makes it much easier to teach students how to use digital writing tools effectively in Google Docs.

Composition notebooks and glue sticks will support our year-long interactive journaling and hands-on projects. Folders will help students keep their notes and handouts organized, encouraging independence and accountability.

To support their focus and well-being, I’m also requesting chair bands for students who need movement to stay engaged, light filters to reduce the strain of harsh overhead lighting, and Yeetec fidgets for quiet focus during reading, writing, and testing. Magnetic building blocks will offer opportunities for teamwork and creative play—an important balance to our academic routines.

Finally, small teacher notepads will allow me to write personal, encouraging notes to students without interrupting instruction, and healthy snacks will keep their bodies fueled and minds ready to learn.
