My Students

MES is a Title 1 school. My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds of varying degrees of social and emotional support and financial stability. We are an AVID school and want to start practicing organization at an early age. As an AVID school we are focused on a successful future for our students. We strive to provide our students with the skills and resources to accomplish this goal. We do our best to support them in every way we can!

My Project

Being a first-year teacher, I have a lot of things to buy for my classroom to make it a safe, inviting, and academic place to learn. Seat sacks would allow my students to keep their materials organized and out of the way of their learning space! As an AVID school, and in general, teaching organization skills at a very young age is extremely important. I want to provide my students with the materials that will set them up for success. Most kindergarteners are also easily distracted. That being said, seat sacks would allow students to quickly and easily access their materials without having to walk around the room to find them, or having a bunch of materials in their learning space.
