Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have an amazing group of kindergartners. My class is a mix of both English learners and English proficient students. My students are eager learners and they have a positive attitude for learning.
Our school is a Title I school which services primarily immigrant and working-class families.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused interruption to the lives of many including my students. All parents and teachers have tried their best to provide the best environment for our students. I want to support my students with fun and engaging ways to learn as they return back to school.
My Project
With the help from another DonorsChoose funded project, I was able to purchase differentiated literacy and math worksheets for my students from Teachers Pay Teachers.
The printed resources will be put into plastic sheet protectors and then organized for each student to have a personalized binder with resources that best meet where they are at academically.
During small group, my students will be able to strengthen their skills while working together with my aide or I. The dry erase markers and cleaning spray will allow us to repurpose the worksheets for extra practice.
