This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a science and technology magnet school. We are a Title I school located in a high poverty area. Half our student body is from the surrounding neighborhood. The other half are magnet students. Magnet students come from all areas in our district.

The students in my class are eager enthusiastic learners.

We set high expectations, and they always step up to the challenge. Although they face many challenges outside of school, at school they overcome those challenges and succeed.

My Project

Our classroom is in need of an pencil sharpener. I have chosen an electric pencil sharpener that will keep our pencils pointy and ready to use. It is important to have supplies in optimum shape for students daily use.

Organization is key to running an efficient classroom.

We are also in need of storage for our big books. Our big books do not fit on a normal bookshelf. So, we need a special shelf to store our big books. Our project also includes a box of green dry erase markers.
