My Project

The materials and supplies I am requesting will support and engage my students with 21st-century skills and inform them of the world around them. Many times we create a curriculum to teach a skill but, students don't understand how this will apply to their future. I want to use the math supplies to support their understanding of fractions and bring a skill we use regularly in cooking or budgeting to life for them.

The donations to this project will help to improve my student's understanding of and competency in 21st-century skills.

I also want them to work on reading skills by learning about current events with our Time for Kids subscription. I have seen students engage in enriching conversations when they are learning about events that apply to them today. Lastly, many students need support and strategies to help them with focusing and coping strategies which will benefit them as they continue their education.
