Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our community of learners are working diligently every day to improve themselves personally and intellectually. This year, we have been focusing on collaboration in our classroom as a means to foster an intrinsic motivation to learn. Given the opportunity, these eager learners like to engage in activities that involve technology and movement in the classroom. On an academic level, each of my students are taking strides to improve their reading abilities. We have high-interest in reading amongst our readers, but are looking for more ways to improve other aspects of their reading such as fluency and comprehension. It is always such a pleasure to serve and support each of them in any way I can.
My Project
Our third grade gears are constantly in motion. Students are picking up study habits that will stick with them for a lifetime. In order to keep the gears moving, we hope to be well stocked with basic classroom materials such as paper, pencils, and tape.
With the large amount of art, writing, and projects that we do in class, we hope to ensure that we are well equipped until June.
Some of our upcoming projects include our "Important People" Project, our end-of-the-year art project, and our typing project. Our "Important People" project requires the students to research, type, and present their findings to their intended audience. To encourage them to do so, colored paper will help them gain a sense of pride in their work.
