This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are resilient, hard-working, and kind. As a math teacher in a Title I school, I have a diverse population of students. I focus on cultivating a safe learning environment for students to take risks, make mistakes, and grow their math knowledge.

Early adolescence can be a challenging time filled with changes to students' bodies and mind.

My goal for this project is to create a kit with some essentials for my students. Included are items ranging from toothpaste, and stress balls to pencils to deodorants! I know my students will feel fresh and more ready to learn when their basic needs are met.
