My Project

A fridge in the classroom is crucial for maintaining the freshness and safety of perishable food items, preventing spoilage and reducing the risk of foodborne illnesses. This is particularly important for students with specific dietary needs, sensory processing disorders, or those who require frequent snacks to regulate their energy levels and maintain focus throughout the day. By safely storing meals and snacks, a fridge helps ensure that nutritious food is readily available, supporting students' physical well-being and cognitive functioning.

What I love most about my students is their remarkable resilience, their diverse personalities, and their eagerness to learn, each bringing a unique spark to the classroom.

Having a fridge in the classroom and providing fresh snacks can significantly impact student learning, especially in a SPED classroom. Fresh snacks contribute to maintaining students' energy levels and focus throughout the day, particularly for those with dietary needs or medical conditions that require regular nourishment. For students who may struggle with sensory processing or regulation issues, having access to snacks can help them manage hunger-related discomfort, leading to more stable emotional and cognitive states, which in turn enhances their ability to engage in lessons.
