Keeping It Comprehensible and Musical in the Spanish Classroom
Help me give my students hands-on experience with the "Rhythm Band Latin-American Set" and comprehensible activities purchased through Teachers Pay Teachers.
I love the energy my students bring to my Spanish classes! One of the best ways to actively engage them in the language and culture is through authentic music and comprehensible activities, including stories and games. Their laughter and enthusiasm as they participate is infectious!
The Latin Rhythm Instrument Set will allow my students to have more hands-on experiences with the music in class.
We sing and dance to music from the Spanish-speaking world, from salsa and cumbia to folklórico. With the instrument set, my students will also be able to play along with more authentic instruments--no more broken 20-year-old tambourine and maracas from my sons’ childhood!
The Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards will enable me to purchase more materials associated with the wonderful Somos comprehensible input curriculum that I purchased last year thanks to a DonorsChoose grant. My students respond particularly well to games, music, cultural activities and creating stories, and with the TPT cards I would be able to purchase these Somos ancillary materials.
