My Students
Our school strives to provide our children with the highest quality education so that they have access to all of the wonderful opportunities the world has to offer. My students are eager to learn and deserve to have the world at their fingertips. These children come from challenging home lives with limited opportunities. They have the right to a classroom equipped with all the necessary tools and resources.
I am committed to ensuring that every child who enters my classroom will be supported as they begin their educational journey to becoming life-long learners and empathetic, responsible, contributing members of the community.
My Project
These cleaning materials will help to keep my students healthy and ready to learn. Germs spread like wildfire in classrooms and every day students miss school has a detrimental effect on their education. Teachers work tirelessly to promote excellent attendance by developing engaging lessons and creating a classroom environment that is welcoming, safe, and fun. Part of maintaining a safe classroom for students and the teacher is having the materials necessary to keep it clean. Unfortunately because of extremely tight budget of the districts, the cleaning of the classrooms is left up to the teachers and students. I've spent my own money over the past four years purchasing cleaning supplies for my classroom, but this year will be different.
We will fight off germs and sickness in my classroom, while educating students on how to contribute to their classroom community and building good habits by providing them with cleaning spray, towels, wipes, brooms and mops.
I am always surprised at how eager students are to help out with classroom chores. Having these materials will allow students to take responsibility for the cleanliness of their learning environment. We will work together to keep our classroom in tip top shape.
