This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a third grade teacher at a Title I, K-8 span school. Majority of our students participate in the free breakfast, lunch, and supper program.
We have a tight-knit community of teachers, staff, parents and local neighborhood families that believe in the importance of education.
Our school's mission is to provide a world-class education for all students by ensuring a safe, nurturing, and collaborative student-centered environment that fosters student achievement, values effort, and promotes social justice.
My 24 students are energetic, eager to learn and look at each day as a day to learn something new.
My Project
It's a brand new school year! With a new school year comes 24 brand-new students, eager and willing to learn.
Let's start this year off right with some basic back-to-school supplies and storage book bins.
Some of the back-to-school supplies included are rulers, dry erase markers and erasers, black felt tip pens, thick pencils, and clipboards. I have also requested some back-to-school picture books, book bins and pencil pouches.
It would be wonderful to be able to provide these back-to-school supplies to each student. Having book bins and pencil pouches will allow for transitions between one subject to another to flow. Students will be able to access books, notebooks, and other supplies with ease. Any donation would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your support!
