I am a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district. My students are faced with several challenges, both in and out of the classroom.
My students are an amazing group of 3rd graders who are eager to learn and explore.
They are living a growth-mindset philosophy, embracing the new learning experiences and challenges, and are ready to stretch and grow their brain muscle. Children are like sponges, ready to soak up everything. It is my pleasure and duty to help shape their precious minds to love learning and be successful.
My Project
We are moving from the building to the mobiles. As I prepare for the move, there are certain things we will lose that helps 3rd graders be prepared. STORAGE! Students will need a place to retrieve their graded assignments to take home.
Why waste instructional time handing out papers and having students dig through binders to find their resources when we could each have our own mailboxes?
I am concerned with the amount of time I need to spend to give papers back to students and would love to streamline this process with a set of mailboxes for my classroom so each student has their own slot.
