My Students
“For every minute spent organizing is an hour earned.” - Anonymous. As a classroom teacher, I am always trying to maximize the learning time with my students. I spend a great deal of time organizing (e.g. making books for each subject) so my students can focus on learning.
My classroom consist of Transitional Kindergarteners and Kindergarteners in a Title 1 school.
A majority of my students are from immigrant families that are economically disadvantaged. Our inner-city school works hard to provide a quality education and responsive classroom for each student. My students are eager learners who need YOUR help keeping it all together!
My Project
Have you seen TK and kindergarteners try to maintain and organize loose papers? It gets chaotic! We need your help to purchase an electronic stapler, staples, paper trimmer, and laminate pouches to make books for all subjects. We will use these supplies to make writing journals, math journals, science journals, English language art practice books, math fluency practice books, interactive journals, and class books! The electronic stapler and staples are used to bind the books together. The paper cutter is used to cut construction paper for the spine of the books and the laminate pouches are to create sturdy covers. Students and parents greatly enjoy looking at their progress from the beginning of the book to the end. Please help us get these supplies to create books that will surely capture students learning progress and stay organized.
Donations to this project will improve my classroom tremendously.
My classroom would be more efficient and organized. Students will spend their time in school learning rather than finding assignments. In addition, students will have a memento of their collective work and will be able to see their academic growth.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
