The students will use materials to practice setting the table and preparing their favorite meals in the kitchen. Having discussions about setting the table and preparing meals leads to rich conversations, therefore increasing rich vocabulary for the students.
The children really enjoy the house setting and create different scenarios in the kitchen other than preparing meals.
They pretend to drive to the grocery store, the park, and even the movies. The students prepare foods for their teachers and friends. Once, the students set up the kitchen as a restaurant and took orders for food.
New foods and dinnerware will be a great addition to the kitchen.
