Keeping Cool With Our Hand Made Portable Air Conditioners!

Help me give my students materials to make a portable air conditioner for our hot classroom!

My Project

Fall and Spring in my classroom are brutal without air conditioning. As a STEM teacher, I came up with an idea to create portable air conditioners to keep our students cool!

With the portable fans and dryer vents, I plan to work with my 4th graders to create portable air conditioners!

Using Styrofoam coolers, we will cut holes and fill them up with ice. We will carefully create holes to put our window vents into. The fans will be used to blow the air out of the cooler and into our hot classroom!
