I have a wonderful and diverse group of students. I have over six different languages spoken in my classroom. Many of my students speak very little English and have just recently come to the United States as refugees from other countries. The diversity in the classroom can cause challenges for teaching, but it also makes my room unique and special! I wouldn't have it any other way!
My students love to learn, laugh and play!
They are curious, self-motivated learners who always want to know more!
My Project
It is important for my PreK students to learn and practice self-care and how to take care of their bodies with proper hygiene. We have a lot of students sharing, working, and playing with communal materials in a small space. I want to teach my students how to properly care for themselves and their bodies.
We are requesting Band Aids for minor cuts and bruises that happen in the classroom.
We are also requesting many boxes of tissues to help students learn how to properly take care of themselves when sneezing and blowing their noses. We are also asking for hand lotion to keep our hands moisturized during the cold winter months. The tissues, Band Aids, and lotion will help to keep our bodies healthy, clean, and safe!
