Help me give my students paper towels, tissues and cleaning supplies to keep our classroom in top shape and keep students safe and healthy this school year.
My 6th grade English students attend a large public school in New York City, which enrolls students in grades Pre-K through 8th. These children come from a diverse variety of backgrounds, circumstances and prior experiences. And this year in particular my students come from an even wider variety of school experiences than in past years, including some kids returning from 5th grade remote learning last year, some who were hybrid, some who homeschooled and some with other experiences, too.
My Project
Having a steady supply of basic classroom supplies on hand during the school year will help my students and I keep our classroom clean and safe. That way we can focus our attention on reading, writing, listening and speaking in a healthy and pleasant environment.
The students I teach come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, and some students' households cannot afford to contribute optional supplies for the classroom.
With this project and your generous support I hope to provide all of my 6th grade students with basic cleaning supplies we can share in order to have a safe, healthy school year.
