Keeping Calm

Help me give my students these calming tools, sensory items, and a doorbell for the classroom.

My Project

During the school day, I often hear my students say they are stressed, overwhelmed, or frustrated. They can struggle to manage these feelings in a positive way. As a result, they do poorly in class because they are not able to calm down or leave altogether for a break.

The goal of this project is to create a calming corner to help my students relieve the stress that they feel throughout the day.

The corner will have various fidgets and calming strategies in it to help students be successful throughout the school day. Easily accessible items like earmuffs and lap pads will help promote calmness for students during times of stress or allow students safe ways to take a break while still in the classroom.

By creating the Calm Down Corner, I will support my students in their ability to better cope with the struggles they face throughout the day and improve their overall social-emotional well-being. Thank you so much for your support!
