Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach 4-5-year-old kindergarten students. Some of my students will experience first hand instruction in a classroom while others come with some small degree of experience. Each of our students have their own independent personality. My job is to prepare them to interact to the school world community: how to sit still, how to share, how to take turns, how to be disappointed, how to ask for help, how to navigate new grown-ups, how to navigate new big kids, how to do things for themselves and most importantly how to stay safe by social distancing and by wearing a mask while receiving instruction in the classroom.
My students will focus their time in school on preparing to learn to read, write and socialize with other children in a safe way with the use of mask and social distancing.
We will work with each student individually to help them become independent individuals so that they can learn to communicate their wants and needs, especially in this unprecedented times.
My Project
These materials will make sure that we can take all the necessary precautions in order to keep the children and staff safe during this time of uncertainty. Every student is treated with the most respect and care in order for them to feel at ease while adjusting to a new way of learning in the classroom. Some of our families in this community do not have access to mask and supplies needed for their children on a daily basis and we want to assure them that we are looking for different ways to provide our students with the necessary resources needed. All of these supplies are essential especially when teaching kindergarten students who depend so much on adults to complete simple task.
