Keepin' It Cozy

My students need a space to read, write and store books. The shelves are great to store books and workstation materials. The rug would be a fun space for my kids to enjoy books.

My Students

My students love to learn! They get so excited to learn something new and then practice it until they master it. They love reading, especially when I read to them with enthusiasm. When they partner read, and I walk around the room to listen, I hear them with the same enthusiasm.

My students are eager to read and feel successful when they can read books on their own.

I'm so proud of how far they come in one short school year. They start the year by learning letters and sounds and at the end of the year, they are reading and writing!

My Project

The sling bookshelves will be great for my kids to see books easily. Since they are Kindergarteners, this will be easy for them to put the books back on the shelf. The storage shelf with cubbies will be used for books and workstation materials. The sharpener will be used for pencils for writing throughout the year.

The brightly colored rug will be a fun space for my kids to sit and partner read with others.

My students love to learn from their peers and a space just for them will make them feel comfortable and ready to read and write sentences!
