This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a very energetic and enthusiastic bunch. They are interested and excited to learn about fitness and taking care of their health. It would be more of a benefit to the students if they had certain equipment to use.

Physical education and play are key for kids to live happy, healthy lives.

On a regular school day students practically spend most of their time in class. That is why time on the playground and PE class is so important to all of us. Unfortunately, many school budgets don't allow for certain requests for playground equipment. To make time on the playground and make PE meaningful and fun, students need a variety of equipment.

I plan to teach the students about throwing, catching, kicking, bouncing as well as ensuring that students are exposed to other activities that involve fitness, movement, and body composition.

The equipment will also encourage group play. Releasing energy on the playground during PE will allow greater success in the classroom. Kids will be focused and energized with the use of this new equipment.
