My Project

“Eating habits get imprinted on children at a young age, and when people eat well during childhood, they’re more likely to have healthy life-long habits," said Rebecca Boehm, an author on a student published in the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior.

Having a classroom refrigerator is a one way to improve snack quality.

Our students, including those with special needs, will have a place to store their lunch and/or snack items. We could implement learning to cook activities involving sequencing tasks and following directions.

Small changes to our classroom environment can support our school in encouraging and educating students towards a healthy lifestyle.
