My Project
My English 9 and 10 classes are meant for students to use their newly developed literacy skills to explore their interests more fully. There are a great many genres available to students at a wide variety of reading levels, and I think it's important to allow students the opportunity to read about something they care about at a level that is comfortably challenging.
Many of these books are atop bestseller lists because they're page turners.
While it's important to read rigorous material and practice high level reading, sometimes it's great just to read a love story or a mystery.
I am excited for kids to be able to get their hands on these books, which I am so sure will help them rediscover (or discover for the first time!) how wonderful reading can be.
