This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from a low socioeconomic background. Some of them come to school to get attention and support they may not be able to get at home. Most come from a home with multiple children and adults living in a small space.
Even though they come from a background that is rough, they are always smiling and most greet me each day with a smile and hug.
I look forward to greeting them each and every day and returning a smile and hug!
My Project
My requested supplies will help the students get the basic needs of food and personal cares that may not be the easiest for the family to provide.
I average over 4000 student visits to the Health Clinic each year.
Most of the students just need the basics that we all crave. A full tummy, basic personal care items, like shampoo and conditioner, and some LOVE!!
A happy and healthy child will go to school and be ready to learn. My goal is to help keep kids in school by providing some of the basic items that help keep them healthy!
