My Students
My students are creative, energetic, and curious young musicians! They absolutely love to sing, move, and play classroom instruments. When standard education methods came to a screeching halt in March due to Covid-19, I tried to continue to give my students the best music education via remote learning. My students were enthusiastic, engaging, and creative despite the set-backs that naturally come with remote learning. As we begin the new school-year, we will continue our remote learning platform. I want my students to continue to be enthusiastic, creative, energetic, and curious young musicians during our remote learning for the 2020 fall session!
My Project
I want to give my students the most engaging, creative, and hands-on musical experiences as possible during this time of remote learning! There is so much growth and development that happens during the PK-2 ages, and musical growth is no exception! I want my students to experience beat and rhythm with real classroom instruments like, rhythm sticks and egg shakers. I also love for my students to experience music through movement. Using movement scarves is not only an expressive outlet for my little ones to experience beat and rhythm, but the added element of motion only strengthens their understanding and concept of beat and rhythm. It is so very important for my students to always have this expressive outlet and perhaps it is even more needed during these challenging times.
