My first grade students love to learn! Every morning they walk into our classroom with a big smile. They love to read, to be read to, play math games, work on coding and write stories. They are curious and inquisitive children, and they challenge me every day to grow with them and be the best I can be.
We work hard to create a classroom community where students can explore, wonder, and discover the world around them.
We ask questions, share our ideas, expand our learning environment using technology, and publish our work to share with the world. They work and collaborate with one another to learn.
Our school also focuses on character building. Children's kindness and compassion are recognized and celebrated. We are proud to be a part of an amazing school. We are family. We learn, play, laugh and grow together!
My Project
My classroom will look a little different this fall. Because of the COVID-19 social distancing guidelines, my students will not be able to share materials among them.
We need a system that allows the students access all the learning materials while they keep safe distance from each other.
A 3-ring binder will keep graphic organizers, math tools, phonics mats and handwriting practice pages so that the students will have an easy access. The students will keep a basket with individually packaged math manipulatives in their desk. This system will not only keep my students safe but also teach them how to be organized and responsible for their own materials.
