My Project
I am excited to introduce a unique educational project that aims to ignite creativity while fostering environmental awareness among over 200 elementary students. Our project, "A Creative Journey to Protect Florida's Wildlife," will empower students to create sculptures of endangered and threatened animals found in the Florida Everglades using recycled materials and plaster cloth.
By creating sculptures of iconic Everglades species like the Florida panther, American crocodile, and West Indian manatee, students will not only learn about these animals but also gain a deeper understanding of the importance of preserving their natural habitats.
We are asking for plaster wrap, which we use to form and mold the armatures of our sculptures. Since our school does not have a kiln, it is imperative for us to use paper mache and plaster cloth to allow students to explore 3D art!
To ensure the success of this project, we require a dedicated drying rack to store students' works in progress safely. With your support, we can provide a conducive environment for creativity to flourish while protecting delicate sculptures as they dry.
Your generous donation will directly impact the educational experiences of over 200 young learners, helping them develop critical thinking skills, environmental consciousness, and artistic talents. Together, we can empower students to become stewards of our planet's precious wildlife heritage.
Thank you for considering our project. With your support, we can inspire the next generation of environmental advocates and creative thinkers.
