Help me give my students equipment for Kinesiology class so that we can continue our sport, fitness and movement based lessons with minimal sharing of equipment and staying socially distanced.
I teach Kinesiology (Physical Education) at a School for Arts Infused Learning in Evans, GA. Ours is a Public Charter School authorized by the Georgia State Charter School Commission and serves scholars in Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Due to the pandemic, physical education has drastically changed.
My scholars have a love for being active, whether it is engaging in team sports or games, or excelling in their own personal fitness. As we begin school I will have to be creative to find ways to stay active with minimal equipment and staying socially distanced. It is my hope that I can provide them with the appropriate strategies to encourage them to remain healthy, active, and have fun.
My Project
This equipment will help add to the limited supply of Kinesiology equipment that we have so that I can continue with sport, movement and fitness based lessons as normal as possible. We are in need of equipment for lessons in:
The more equipment we have available we will be able to minimize sharing and in turn keep the students safer. It is important that the students are still able to learn and work towards mastery in different kinetic concepts, and having new and readily available sports equipment will aid in this. This equipment will be used for students who are learning face-to-face.
