This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The LEGO will be used mainly for the after school program. This year, the class almost doubled in size. Many students in grades 6-8 enrolled in the program as an extracurricular activity after school.

Students will be working in pairs and groups as little engineers building and thinking.

They will collaborate and work as a team. These are great skills to have now and for future careers. Giving students a great opportunity to start somewhere is a great investment. I am glad to be able to offer this program that includes hands-on activities and they are away from their phone. It will definitely build social skills as well.
