Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In our world, our classroom, we are a tight knit group of students. We work hard everyday to learn and express who we are. We are made up of 5 academic support students, who push in from their special education full time classroom, as well as 25 general education students. We are Hispanic, Caucasian, African, and Asian. We speak multiple languages and need multiple things to help us get through our day.

We speak the language of acceptance and love, and that is what holds us together.

We work hard from the moment we get to school to the moment we leave. It is our goal that we leave everyday with brains, bodies, and voices tired. Tired from thinking, moving, and speaking about what we are learning.

My Project

Part of being a student is learning how to stay focused. My students come from different backgrounds and are just learning what a focused, mindful student looks like. Part of being focused is being aware of your own space and what is happening in only your space.

By donating to us, you will be helping students to learn how to be aware of their space, which will help them stay focused.

This will not only make a difference to my 2nd graders today, but will have a lasting impact on the rest of their education. As they learn to be focused they will learn how to be better life long learners.
