This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a new teacher who’s trying to build my classroom for my students. Not only for this year but for all the students to come. The students entering my classroom are boys and girls who are determined and resilient. Our school is in a high-poverty, low-income school district. With limited resources in our district, we are often unable to purchase items that may help students excel in their learning. Although this is my first year as a preschool teacher, I have been an employee in my school district going on seven years. This has given me the opportunity to work with preschool students in the past and what I have learned is that no two children are the same, nor do they learn the same.

My goal is to give my preschoolers a learning environment full of intentional teaching.

My Project

Teachers Pay Teachers is a great resource to find materials that will teach my students new things. I am requesting Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards so that I am able to find new and different materials for my students that will engage them in learning. Preschool students love to learn and this will open up so many more resources to build their foundation for Kindergarten.

These gift cards will help me to find age appropriate resources for my classroom that are developed by teachers for teachers.

This will help tremendously with lesson planning.
