Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Ninety percent of our amazing students live below or near the poverty line. About 60% of our students are learning English in school. Sometimes our school struggles to get the resources we need to teach and care for our incredible students. This makes the job of a school even more important.

Many students we teach experience poverty, but that's just where they are starting.

Our students love to create art and read. They write computer code and even perform Shakespeare. They have big dreams, and let's help them reach for those dreams!

My Project

In Colorado, it gets C-O-L-D in the winter. It breaks my hearts to see my students coming to school when it is freezing and not have a jacket. I want them to be able to play at recess and run around, even when it gets chilly outside. It's as simple as giving a cold child a jacket, gloves and a hat.

The jackets and sweatshirts you send us will stop our kids from shivering on cold days.

You will be giving kids the essentials they need to come to school and learn and grow into smart strong boys and girls. Please help us make a difference!
