My Project
Teaching first and second-graders is truly the best! My students are critical thinkers, creative, and collaborative. Part of facilitating these intrinsic qualities is making sure they have the supplies they need and teaching them to take care of them.
The chair back pockets I have requested will allow students to have autonomy over their things and practice keeping their important school supplies clean, organized, and easy to access.
Organization is key to being successful. Please help them learn early to have routines in finding things. In the foundational years of learning, I have seen how training students to take care of their pens, books, and journals adds to their interest in topics, self-motivation, and responsibility as a classroom community member.
