Help me give my students Luxe carrying cases for the Cricut Maker and Easy Press 2, heat pads for the heat press, and some tools to weed designs. These items will help prevent damage to equipment.
Our students live in a rural area, and seventy-one percent or more are eligible for free or reduced lunches. There are few jobs available in the county so students have to leave to find work. Those who stay are working at jobs that pay minimum wage at best. I want to offer them an opportunity to explore the idea of building their own crafting business to either supplement their paycheck or to provide a paycheck for them
My students are fortunate to have a Cricut Maker and tools project that was funded; now they need storage options like a tote bag for the Cricut Maker, a carrying case for the Easy Press, to protect that equipment when not in use or when being moved.
The Cricut Maker is an expensive piece of equipment, and we need a way to store it and its tools when not in use and a way to move them so that they don't get damaged.
Part of the process of owning a business is making sure that your tools and equipment are in good shape and protected against damage; carrying cases and other portable storage will provide protection.
My Project
My students are going to "create" a crafting business and learn how to take care of that business. Part of caring for a business is protecting materials and equipment.
This project will provide students with carrying cases for the Cricut Maker and the Easy Press plus a heat pad and some tools to work with.
These cases will make it possible to protect the equipment when not in use, and allow students to carry the equipment to a different area to work on projects. This will work into our business project because it is one of the factors that has to be considered in developing a business.
