My Students
My students are sixth and seventh graders in a small middle school.
We have approximately 325 students in our school.
They range from the mentally impaired and learning disabled to the gifted with everything in between. They haven't had a regular science teacher for a few years.
We get no money for supplies, consumables, or new equipment. Everything we get has to come from grants or fundraisers. With every department, music group and athletic team raising funds, it becomes very difficult for the community to support all of our needs.
My Project
My students would like a metal storage cabinet to keep our robotics supplies in. Currently the supplies are in tubs stacked behind my counter. It makes it hard to see what parts are where and there is nowhere to keep works in progress so that other students aren't playing with them.
We have several VEX robots, as well as 3D Doodler supplies and Ozobot's.
We're hoping for a cabinet to keep these items in so that only the students needing to use these items can get to them. It will also make a great place to store the robots that they are currently working on.
