This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Research shows that the classroom environment is essential to student success.
Students who are in a clean and organized classroom environment demonstrate more on-task behavior, and better academic achievement.
Not only that, organization is a safety concern. One bigger ticket item on my Wishlist is a vacuum. Our playground happens to be riddled with goat head thorns which get tracked inside and end up all over the floor. Having a vacuum to clean up simple classroom messes, like spilled pencil shavings, and these pesky goat heads will greatly contribute to the organization of my classroom.
Items like student mail boxes and table supply organizers will also help students stay more organized by having all the needed supplies in a central and accessible location.
