Keep Fitness Fun

My students need to have their interests sparked and through this projector we can do that by using the internet to help keep them active and motivated.

My Students

We are an elementary school that is K-6 grade with about 600 students. Our district has a free and reduced lunch rate of almost 40%, with most students getting 2 of their 3 meals here at the school. We have a very great group of students who love to participate in physical education. The students have 2-3 days of pe per week. As a teacher my job is to keep the kids active and let them know that exercise can be fun and enjoyable and extremely good for their health and well being.

Health is an important factor in teaching them the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits.

I am their only avenue for health education as well as physical fitness.

As a teacher, I try to engage my students and keep up with the ever changing world of technology. The students love when I introduce new ideas and concepts to them and I love to see a smile on their faces.

My Project

The projector will allow us to use a variety of software to show the students exciting, interactive ways to keep fitness fun. With having physical education only 2-3 days per week, we have to get as much out of the students as we can, while making it fun for them. By using this projector we will help the students reach and maintain their fitness goals.

With childhood obesity being at an all time high, we are trying to teach them there are many different ways to being active and by having this projector we can do just that while promoting a positive and healthy lifestyle.
