Help me give my students Magna-Tiles so they can develop critical thinking skills as they learn how to build a variety of creations.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Jatoft's classroom raised $205

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is located in Northern California. I teach 45 energetic first graders from Spanish speaking homes. The majority qualify for the free/reduced price food program. Some come from difficult circumstances such as broken families, poverty, health issues, learning disabilities, and language/cultural barriers.
"All students can learn and succeed, but not on the same day in the same way." -William G.
My bilingual and biliterate students come to class excited and eager to participate and become 21st century learners. Each student brings their unique style of learning that enhances our class community.
My Project
Magna-Tiles fuse math, science, and creativity. Students can identify shapes and other math concepts. Students can learn about magnetic principles and practice engineering skills like 3D structures. They tap into their creativity through building a house or their own unique design. They can practice their literacy skills by coming up with fun stories about their structures.
Versatile magnetic tiles engage in creative play and help students learn and practice a variety of skills and concepts.
My students will have fun stacking, sorting, and counting together their creations. The tiles help students develop fine motor skills
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
