Keep Calm and Practice Tennis

My Students

Our students come from a variety of socioeconomic, cultural, and athletic backgrounds. Some of our students come to us and have never played organized sports. Many participants come from single parent households and live paycheck to paycheck.

In our district, we encourage our young women to get involved and join team sports.

Even though we have many different choices for our girls, money can be a struggle for our students, parents, district, and city. We were lucky enough that our city and district recently made improvements to our tennis courts. Help us finish these improvements and help our girls' tennis team!

My Project

On behalf of our wonderful girls' high school tennis team, I am requesting a tennis ball machine and pressureless tennis balls for practice. Our girls recently had upgrades to our city's tennis courts. Coming from a high-poverty district, these improvements were an exciting addition to our area. A ball machine and tennis balls would be the icing on the cake for our girls!

Tennis is a lifelong sport.

Our young women practice hard and play hard. They would benefit from a ball machine and pressureless balls for the machine. Being able to amp up their practice routines would allow them to practice basic skills, work alone or in small or large groups, and would allow all of our girls to practice at the same level of area teams.

We can empower our girls' high school tennis team with new equipment and give them a chance to LOVE the sport all over again!
