Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have students who come from all kinds of backgrounds. They range anywhere from grade levels behind in their education to achieving far above grade level.

They come from troubled and unsafe neighborhoods.

Whatever their background, they still find the motivation to come to school every day because they know education is the key to their future. Whether they choose to to go college or a trade school, I will help them to get there.

I want them to be able to reach those expectations that I have for them and they have set for themselves.

My Project

There is a book entitled "Teaching Art with Books Kids Love: Art Elements, Appreciation, and Design with Award-winning Books." It uses well-known children's book and uses them to teach art. It teaches elements such as line, shape, texture, and color as well as artistic styles like realism, impressionism, and expressionism. In order to teach these, we need fine point permanent markers, water colors, drawing paper, , tissue paper, pencils and more. These are supplies that are not readily available or the district cannot purchase.

The supplies in the project will give my students the necessary items to learn and apply different aspects of art that are not always readily taught.

Hopefully, making this available will give the student the motivation to pursue their art abilities and dreams as well.
