They may come from a small town in Western KY, but these students have proven over and over that they can interact with, compete against, and network with students from other countries, private/magnet schools, and more affluent school districts...and come out on top. Business education students in our department have the opportunity to join FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) where they can participate in various community service opportunities, job shadowing activities, and compete in various events on both the Regional, State and National level. These opportunities are invaluable to their education and build their resumes into competitive advertisements that will serve them well for scholarship applications and job interviews.
Our school climate is one of "be involved, work hard, and earn it." Yes, we are in a rural area.
Yes, we are from an economic status that qualifies our entire school for free and reduced lunch. However, using that as an excuse is not an option under my watch.
My Project
We have all learned that in-person instruction is the best for our kids. I want my kids to be able to stay in person but also be safe. To do this, we need access to cleaning supplies so we can clean between classes. This project will provide these much needed cleaning supplies so that my students can remain in-person and learning in the best environment possible for them.
We will use these supplies to thoroughly clean off computer keyboards and desks before a new class comes in to the room.
