My Project
Goals for this project are that the students practice interpersonal communication and give good customer service in the target language. Everyone will simulate being a customer as well as a clerk and need to constantly be communicating in the target language.
This unit will start with research about types of stores in the country of the language they are studying, customs, advertising approaches, and language skills needed to perform these everyday tasks in the target language.
What I hope to see is increased self-confidence gained from applying knowledge and concepts learned and practicing hard. It will be nice to see how proud they are of their ads and their ability to speak in a foreign language and be efficient clerks and customers that communicate well with one another. Hopefully, they will be able help others in the community or for themselves at a part-time job!
