My students need a cultural visit to Oahu which includes transitive knowledge of all core disciplines: Math/Science/Language Arts/Social Studies/Art & Music.

My Students

"Be the change you want to see in the world," Mahatma Gandhi said, and my students apply this quote in my classroom and dream big every day. We look to our ancestors to voyage ahead during the 21st Century.

Our Hawaiian Cultural based learning center/charter school provides a rich environment for our students.

Our students enjoy learning about their Hawaiian Ancestors, so that they themselves have a better sense about what it means to become Stewards of the Aina.

My Project

We are requesting funds for our field trip to visit the neighboring island of Oahu. Planned is a hands on workshop with the Marine Biology Center of University of Hawaii, overnight stay at Bishop Museum with planetarium, private tour and hands on activities, tour and luau at Polynesian Cultural Center and lastly a stroll through the Art Museum.

Our class truly loves their culture, music and art.

This hands on learning field trip at the end of the year is a culminating experience which better prepares them to create a sense of history as they move forward in their chosen fields. The field trip is designed to encompass multi disciplines of learning: Science, Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, Music & Art.
