My Project

My 600 students love coming to my classroom each week to experience learning about a new artist and being inspired to create art in a new way. Students with a short attention span and quick finishers can benefit from an extra activity beyond the planned project.

With your help, we will create sensory bins that further students development and understanding of visual arts, give them confidence in creating art in new ways, keep individuals regulated with various activities all while working with the curriculum standards.

I will rotate out the bins according to the class curriculum and standards. When we are learning about shapes in kindergarten, the shape bins can come out. The students will have a greater opportunity to explore shape in a new unique way. The same will happen when I teach the whole group about textures-- the texture bins will come out. Ultimately I believe these bins will reach many more students in the future, because they will be used beyond this year.
