This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My junior artists are excited to engage and explore new things in visual art and develop their own ideas and concepts while creating their individual art.
Students engage in fun visual art activities during their art period but we would like to engage in larger scale projects so that students can eventually enter competitions.
One of the biggest topics that my students want to explore is finding art in the world around them. My students are special because they are eager to explore art outside of the classroom, and many don't have the resources at home to create art due to being in a low income community.
My Project
As an elementary visual arts instructor, I teach a wide range of students from pre-K to 5th grade. My younger students are often not good a tying the aprons that the older kids use and these art smocks would be perfect for them. These smocks are also bright, colorful, and durable which is important for my younger grades. I'm asking for a set of twenty-five because my largest classes are usually that size. I'm in need of enough so that every child will have one when it is time to paint. Thank you in advance for your support!
