Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year, the HLMW has increased in enrollment by 30%, but without any additional support or funding from Boston Public Schools. Our team is working hard to meet the needs of our students, providing them with high-quality instruction, scaffolds, pull-out support, graphic organizers, sentence stems, visual dictionaries, and anything we can think of to support their learning.
However, in order to support our students, we also need to have basic supplies.
When we know that our closets are fully stocked with binders, pencils, rulers, calculators, headphones, and expo markers, we can focus our energy on supporting our students.
