Students come to school excited to see their friends and they are eager to learn many new things. Our school year is off to a great start!
As teachers, it's so important to teach and model for our students how to love, work, learn and live in a diverse world and also to be able to provide them with wonderful learning experiences.
We, as educators, work hard to make sure that each and every student feels safe, loved, important, and welcomed! My students go to school in a wonderful community! Being at school is the only positive that some of my students have each day.
Our school is a Title I school. That means that we have a majority of students coming from a low economic background. A lot of my students are not able to experience any form of technology at home. My students come to school with big smiles on their faces! I feel that school is the place to help them learn to become adults in the working field one day, but to also encourage their own dreaming and creativity.
My Project
As a teacher with a classroom full of wonderful students, we go through a lot of classroom supplies, in a school day. My students go through a lot of paper, pencils, index cards, and copy paper. Another item that gets a good amount of use, is a classroom pencil sharpener. It is always nice for students to have sharpened pencils or to be able to sharpen there pencil, when needed. Printer ink is another supply that is needed, in a classroom.
Having a classroom, with supplies available to all students, just helps so much.
Our classroom pencil sharpener is out it’s last leg. Some of my students suggested that I ask Santa for a pencil sharpener!
