This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Literacy is the key to success, and I promote literacy daily in my classroom in hopes that my students will develop the same desire and enthusiasm to read that I have. Along with keeping the students engaged, the Comprehension Cubes will help increase their comprehension, speaking, and social skills.
Many of my students are already two to three grade levels behind in reading, so it is important to practice reading in an engaging manner while also increasing vocabulary and comprehension.
The additional materials will further enhance instruction by providing hands-on methods of communicating, such as by creating foldables and work station activities that will be stored in the storage bags. The card stock and laminating equipment will be used to create these reading manipulatives.
