Literacy is the key to success and I promote literacy daily in my classroom. Since my love of reading and of books is evident, my students show the same desire to read. A set of novels for us to read together and conduct a novel study would not only enhance my students' comprehension skills, but it would also help their social skills. They will become more cognizant of the diversity that exists in the world and how they respond to it. With your donation, my three computer classroom would be further enhanced with electronic tablets that will be used to promote literacy instruction to economically disadvantaged students. More students will be able to utilize the programs provided by the district. They will increase their reading fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension while accessing engaging ebooks and digital resources on the district HUB.
