This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The children in my classroom just need the basics to get assignments completed.
The children are a great bunch of hard workers.
They are from economically disadvantaged homes and don't always have the supplies they need to learn. They strive for excellence and work daily to improve in math, reading, and science, but striving for excellence can be a challenge if you lack paper and pencils.
My Project
The children need the basics to get their class work finished. Just some paper and pencils for writing in science and language arts will be great. More paper is needed in math to make copies and to solve problems. Markers and dry erase markers are used with individual boards when we have drills. These are essential since the dry erase markers tend to dry out quickly.
Just the basic supplies are needed to complete assignments and your help can ensure that the children have the supplies needed to continue to excel.
